COMBINED TRAINING
$90 - For all levels $45 - Dressage Only $25 - Show jumping (Clear round or Warm-up) Cross country - as per venue PER ENTRY $10 - SOCTA Development Fee $7.50 - Admin / Office $10 - Medic / Safety Fee $25 - Late Fee - After closing date, late fee applies. Riders have 2 more days for payment (with the $25 late fee). After that, riders will not be included on the schedule. SOCTA provides a fun stepping stone competition that is based on the general rules of Eventing. We have adapted an educational format to help riders and horses get a confident start in Eventing through the Combined Test and Short Course.
All organizers are soley responsible for their own competition standards, course design and show decisions.
When looking to make the next step moving up to compete at the Ontario Eventing Association competitions please check out their website for more information about competing at the recognized levels.

SOCTA RULES
- Combined Test: Must compete at 2 Combined Training events to qualify for Year End award.
- Acceptable attire- half-chaps and polo/sleeved and collared shirts (jackets optional).
- Braiding is optional
- All riders must wear approved helmets at all times while mounted and proper footwear.
- Dressage whips are permitted.
- Readers are permitted.
- For dressage tests, only snaffle bridles in which the bit is made of metal, leather, rubber or synthetic material are permitted.
- Standing martingales are NOT permitted.
- If horse leaves dressage ring during a test, not eliminated but penalties will be added - 10 penalties
- Elimination in SJ: 3 refusals results in elimination.
- No jumping flagged options backward or of a higher level
- No purposeful delaying of crossing the finish line between that and the last fence
- Show management reserves the right to make changes to the show program at their discretion.
- Neither the show management, nor anyone affiliated with the show will be responsible for any loss, damage or accident while on the show grounds.
- Safety vests required on XC
